Overview

As the 2026 season unfolds, the Festival will debut the Children’s Biennale in November — the Arab world’s first dedicated outdoor children’s biennale. Anchored in the spirit of the UAE’s Year of the Family, the public programme celebrates values of family ties, unity and shared creativity through the power of the arts.

This pioneering initiative invites children to co-create a variety of artworks with teaching artists using sustainable materials. The resulting pieces will be displayed throughout Umm Al Emarat Park during November 2026.

Featuring creations by local students and an international collaboration with Singapore’s Gallery Children’s Biennale, the first outdoor children’s biennale in the Arab world includes family programmes, interactive guides that encourage children and their families to explore art together, fostering creativity, environmental awareness and meaningful family bonding.
