The ‘Sheikh of Egyptian chanters’, renowned Inshad master, Sheikh Mahmoud El-Tohamy is known for his ability to mix chanting in classical Arabic with multiple musical cultures, while preserving its originality and distinctive traditional character. He returns to the Festival with the soulful presentation of The Carpenter’s Daughters, which comprises several famous poems in praise of the Prophet Muhammad, Peace Be Upon Him, from Egypt, Sudan, Tunisia, and the Maghreb. The evening will also feature a beautiful performance of Aneen Al Asheq.

Artist Update – April 20 Performance of KNUA We regret to inform our audience that Jessica Pratt is unfortunately unable to perform on April 20 due to illness. We wish her a swift and full recovery.

We are delighted to announce that Susanna Markova will be taking the stage. A rising star on the international opera scene, Markova has captivated audiences across Europe with her radiant voice, expressive artistry, and compelling stage presence.

Her recent performances in major opera houses have been met with critical acclaim, and we are honoured to welcome her to our stage. We thank Susanna for joining us on short notice and look forward to a beautiful evening of music.
